Since June 2016, our community wind turbine in Rhydygwydd, Salem, Llandeilo has been producing clean renewable energy through the energy captured by the wind.
The turbine has now produced enough energy and money for us create these three special pots of money in order to support the ideas of young people, communities and businesses in Carmarthenshire to implement projects that seek to decarbonise communities and that act for the benefit of our climate.
Community Fund (for community groups)
The Community Fund will be re-launched in the new financial year in 2024. This is a special fund to help groups take positive steps to decarbonise within their communities. Very Low Interest Loans (for local businesses)
The purpose of this interest is to support local businesses to install sustainable energy systems or take positive action after installing buildings as part of the wider campaign to decarbonize Carmarthenshire. Chwyldro Fund (for children and young people)
We invite applications between £50 and £300 to support the ideas of young people and children in the county to act for the benefit of the climate.
